Meet Lucky – A 23 Month, Spayed, Fully Vaccinated, Microchipped Bitch and would you believe it… she is at least 50% GSD!!!
Lucky’s Mum came to us from the stray pound and promptly produced a litter of six pups.
Her Mum Foxy has the most fantastic temperament and is super smart and Lucky obviously takes after her.
Lucky – A Bright, Energetic Girl Ready for Her Forever Home 🐾
Lucky is a 23-month-old German Shepherd crossbreed with so much love and potential to give.
Sadly, Lucky was returned to the rescue through no fault of her own — she simply didn’t fit her previous owner’s lifestyle anymore. She hasn’t been cat tested and has not been around children.
Lucky is an active, intelligent dog who will thrive when she has an outlet for her energy. She’s strong on lead and will need daily exercise with ongoing, consistent training, but is a fantastic candidate for someone willing to put the time and effort in.
Kennel life has been tough on Lucky, and she’s starting to show frustration around other dogs. This isn’t aggression, more like pent-up energy, excitement and lack of socialisation. She can be a bit bouncy and overwhelming during initial greetings, so she’ll benefit from calm, structured introductions. Given the chance to decompress and learn, there’s every reason to believe she’ll build positive relationships with other dogs over time.
This young rescue is particularly close to my heart because I have her brother, Loki, and I can see so many similarities between them when I have Lucky during training classes. With the right guidance, Lucky has all the potential to become the perfect adventure partner, whether that’s long hikes, learning new skills, or even trying out dog sports like agility. And after a day of activity? She’ll likely be more than happy to settle down and relax with her people (probably on the sofa, like Loki!!)
Lucky would love:
• An active home committed to training and enrichment
• Someone patient and consistent who can guide her development
• Calm, well-managed dog introductions (or potentially being the only dog while she settles)
• Someone who has experience with large breed dogs
If you’re in a position to give Lucky her forever home and the chance to shine, please complete the application form on the Garbo’s website and someone will be in contact.
