Bolek approximately 5 months, and his brother Lolek (to be introduced soon) joined us a few weeks ago, picked up as strays in terrible condition, underweight, mange and full of parasites.
Bolek is now in full health and ready for the last and most important step in his
journey……to find a home. Unfortunately, that step will prove to be the most difficult one for Bolek because he is the wrong breed and the wrong colour. He is black, and he is a Lurcher. Lurchers are the most abused, overbred, and forgotten dogs in Ireland. Pounds and rescues are full of these resilient, kind, and gentle souls. For the majority of Irish Lurchers, finding their forever home means leaving the very country that continues to fail them so miserably. We live in the hope that Boleks’ story will end differently.
